Our Golf Course
The land surrounding Åsundsholm has the best possible makings for a golf course. The region is in climate zone 2-3, approximately 160 meters (480 ft) above sea level and with close proximity to Lake Åsunden. This means a longer playing season usually ranging from early April until late October.
The course is very varied with elements of park-, forest- and links charachter. Ponds and creeks make up natural hazards on the course, and many of the holes have wonderful views over the lake. The design of the course focus on "risk-reward" and poses interesting challenges for both the novice and the experienced golf player. The sand bunkers are deep and strategically placed and of a character normally found on Scotland. The greens are built according to the latest USGA standards and are constantly maintained to a very hight standard with fast roll speed, averaging between 9-12 ft on the stimpmeter.
The course was opened in 2007 and has 12 high quality golf holes. A new driving range with artificial grass tees of the latest technology opened in 2010.
The course is designed by Swedish designer Henrik Wissinger.
